Join us each Thursday for Republic’s Farmers’ Market, beginning at 5:30 p.m. until dark on Main Street. Plans have been made to hold the Farmers’ Market each Thursday evening throughout the summer and fall. Main Street traffic will be blocked from Grant to Olive streets (north of the railroad tracks) beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will be fresh produce, flowers and other items. Come on down and experience the convenience and value of shopping at your local Farmers’ Market.

The Republic Parks & Recreation Department would like to remind everyone the Republic Community Center will go back to summer hours beginning on Monday, June 1, 2009. The summer hours of operation are:

| Saturday |
8:00AM - 6:00PM |
| Sunday |
12:00PM - 6:00PM |
The indoor walking/running track will be available during all of the times listed above. Adult open gym will not be available during the summer, but will resume September 5, 2009. For more information about the Republic Community Center, please contact the Republic Parks & Recreation Department at (417) 732-3500.

McLane Company, Inc. plans to build a new distribution center in Republic, Missouri. This distribution center will likely bring over 400 new jobs to Republic, Missouri when the distribution center reaches its full phase volume.
