Building Demolition

Any property owner wishing to demolish a building within the city limits must first complete and submit an Application for Demolition Permit (PDF). This application will be reviewed by the city prior to approval.

Before the City issues a Demolition Permit there are several steps that must be taken by the applicant, City staff and the Utility Companies. Once the applicant has obtained all necessary signatures and addressed all items on the application it will be reviewed by the Building Inspector. After all applicable fees ($50) have been received, and any special considerations related to the demolition of the proposed structure have been addressed, the applicant will be issued a Demolition Permit in the form of a letter from the City permitting the demolition of the structure.
