Republic Parks & Recreation Announces New Programs for Toddlers

REPUBLIC, MO – The Republic Parks & Recreation Department will be offering three NEW toddler programs beginning in September! Munchkin Movie Days will be held the first Friday of every month beginning September 1. This program offers families a unique opportunity to go to a movie without the worry of your child sitting still. The movie for September is Ozzy – The Fast and the Furriest. Movies begin at 10:30 a.m. and are free! Popcorn will be available for $1.00 per bag.

 Wiggle, Shake, Move is a new class for toddlers ages 2-5 to help get their wiggles out! The class includes a mix of dance, yoga, and playtime to encourage kids to have fun in a structured environment. The first session of this program is September 6-27; classes are held on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $20.00 per toddler for each four-week session.  

Doodlebugs, a fun, guided arts and crafts time for toddlers, begins on September 7! Toddlers, along with their parents, can come and explore their creativity in a variety

of ways without worrying about the mess. The upcoming session is September 7-28; classes are held on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $20.00 per toddler for each four-week session.

Pre-registration is required for Wiggle, Shake, Move and Doodlebugs. All programs are held at the Republic Communtiy Center and require a parent/guardian to stay and participate with their toddler. Call 732-3500 for more information or stop by the Community Center to register!
