Republic Police Chief
Mark Lowe

The Police Chief serves as first in command of the Police Department; plans and directs all line operations and auxiliary services of the department.

Police Chief Mark Lowe joined the Republic Police Department in April of 2002. He came to Missouri from Satellite Beach, Florida, where he had been employed by the Satellite Beach Police Department.

Chief Lowe graduated from the Brevard County Criminal Justice Training Academy in 1980, and began his law enforcement career with the Satellite Beach Police Department. During his career, he worked as a Reserve Officer, Police Officer, Detective Sergeant, Lieutenant and Commander. He has been enthusiastically involved in the growth of community policing.

Chief Lowe is a strong proponent of training and has been a certified Criminal Justice Instructor in Cultural Diversity, Firearms, Narcotics, Investigations, and other general Patrol techniques topics. He was an adjunct faculty member at Brevard Community College and Florida Metropolitan University where he instructed various Criminal Justice Courses.

Chief Lowe is a graduate of the 190th Session of the F.B.I. National Academy and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute, Chief Executive Seminar 31st Session. He received his Masters Degree in Public Administration from Webster University and his Baccalaureate Degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.

Chief Lowe was born in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, as the son of a career Army officer, and has lived in many different states and countries. He has enjoyed the opportunity to experience many different places and cultures during his life. He looks forward to exploring Missouri and all the wonderful activities it has to offer.
