The Auxiliary Unit is comprised of commissioned police officers who participate in a variety of functions for the City of Republic. This division works at the Fall Festival, Pumpkin Daze, Have a Blast, the Republic Christmas Parade, all high school football and basketball games as well as homecoming dances, high school graduation, etc. This division has also assisted in the under-age drinking grant.

The Auxiliary Unit is also involved in the Special Olympics heading up security for the event. Many of the officers assisted tornado victims in the past storms by patrolling towns and cleaning up debris.
