The duties of the Parks & Recreation Director are to manage and oversee the Parks & Recreation Department's daily operations, personnel, facilities, programming, finances and development.  The Parks & Recreation Director oversees the Republic Community Center, Republic Activities Building, Republic Aquatics Center, Senior Friendship Center, Bervin White Memorial Baseball/Softball Complex, Garroutte Field, J.R. Martin Park, McKee Park and Miller Park.

Jared Keeling was hired as the Parks & Recreation Director in February of 2004.  Prior to working for the City of Republic, he was the Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Willard for five years.  Prior to this employment with the City of Willard, Mr. Keeling worked as the Athletic Coordinator for the Springfield Boys & Girls Club.

Mr. Keeling is a graduate of Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and is an active member in the Missouri Park & Recreation Association and the National Recreation & Park Association.
