Miller Park
Located at the corner of Miller Road & Lynn Avenue, Miller Park (58 acres) has become the recreation hub of the city. The park is the home of the Republic Community Center, Activities Building, Republic Saddle Club and the Republic Aquatic Center. Miller Park also features the Bervin White Memorial Baseball/Softball Complex, playground equipment and a ¾ mile walking trail with a tree and plant identification program.
J.R. Martin Park
Located in the heart of the city along Hines Street between Republic High School and Republic Middle School, J.R. Martin Park (24 acres) is most recognized for the scenic beauty of large, mature oak trees originally planted by J.R. Martin in the early 1950’s. The park also features abundant playground equipment, four tennis courts, two pavilions, horseshoe pits and a 9/10 mile walking trail with several benches located underneath the shade of the oak trees.
McKee Park
Located on the west side of the city at the corner of O’Neal Road and McKee Street, McKee Park (2 acres) is a small neighborhood park inside of Countryside Terrace subdivision. The park features a large green space area, playground equipment and several picnic tables.
Garoutte Field
Located at the corner of Hampton Street and Hines Street, Garoutte Field (10 acres) is the home of the Republic Senior Friendship Center and the Kiwanis outbuilding and shelter used for the annual Fall Festival. The park also features two soccer fields used for recreational and league play.
