The Office of Emergency Management currently operates 10 outdoor warning devices within the City of Republic.  These units represent various technologies including battery backup to operate the devices during power failures, as well as, voice communication in the latest warning unit.

Notification System Testing:

All outdoor notification devices within the City of Republic are scheduled for routine testing on the Second Wednesday of every month, weather permitting.  If they cannot be tested due to bad weather, the test will be conducted the following Wednesday, weather permitting.

Personal Safety:

While the Republic Office of Emergency Management has strived to provide the best outdoor warning system available, a personal Weather Alert Radio with SAME capability is the best notification for you and your family.
