Support Services Frequently Asked Questions 1. How do I get a copy of an accident or police report?
Reports may be obtained at the Republic Police Department by contacting the Records Division. Requests can be processed at the front desk from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday; or by calling (417)732-3900. All requests will be processed within 72 hours.
2. Does the Police Department take fingerprints for the Public? Fingerprints are taken for residents of the City and persons working for businesses located in the City on Thursdays between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon . Persons requesting to be fingerprinted must have a Missouri Drivers License or other type of Photo ID. There is no cost for this service. The Police Department uses an electronic fingerprinting device (Livescan) which prints its own fingerprint cards.
3. How do I add more items to a stolen property report I have already filed? Contact the original officer taking the report or the detective assigned to the case. Please have available the make, model, brand, and serial number of any property stolen or as much descriptive information as possible.

Support ServicesThis section houses approximately 15,000 arrest, fingerprint, and mug shot records that are indexed in computerized databases and record management software. All fingerprints and arrests are documented and forwarded to the Missouri State Highway Patrol to be included in the Missouri Criminal History database and Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). Support Services provides valuable statistical information of activities that assists in identifying and directing personnel and equipment needs, and serves as the central information point of the police department. The section is responsible for preparation and submission of all monthly and annual reports, such as Uniform Crime Reports (UCR), Racial Profiling, and those required by City Administration or by special request.
Grant Research and Preparation The acquisition of funds outside of General Revenue sources is an important function of the division. Such funds allow for the acquisition of equipment and personnel not otherwise available through the normal tax funding mechanism.
