Daniel Harter was elected to serve the citizens of Ward IV in April 2008.
My parents moved to Republic in 1976, I graduated from Republic High School in 1982. My wife and I decided we wanted our children raised in a small town atmosphere, with small town values and have been in Republic ever since.
Ben Franklin once said that everyone should serve as a public servant at some point in their lives. My decision to run for city council was based on this philosophy, and my desire to give something back to the community in which I live.
The future of Republic is looking very bright, and I believe we will see some very exciting things happen in our community in the near future. I am looking forward to serving the citizens of Republic as a councilmember, and my hope is that we can all work together to make Republic an even better place to live and raise our families.
