REPUBLIC, MO – The Republic Police Department (playing under the team name 'Cuffs') will take on the Springfield Police Department (playing under the team name 'Guns') in a charity basketball game on Saturday, June 11th, with all proceeds from the event going toward the fund to help construct the Republic Veterans Memorial.
The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. and be held at the Republic Community Center located at 711 E. Miller Road in Republic. Tickets are currently on sale at the Republic Community Center for $5.00 each or any other donation amount over $5.00. Make your plans now to come see these two fine agencies duke it out in a different kind of uniform! The Republic Veterans Memorial will be one of the most significant veteran memorial projects in the area and will provide a visible presence of appreciation to those men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. The estimated project cost for the Republic Veterans Memorial is $30,000.00 and approximately $9,000.00 has been raised so far towards the effort.
