Republic, MO – The Republic Police Department has entered the 2010 International Police Vehicle Design Contest. Law and Order magazine, a trade publication for law enforcement agencies, hosts the contest every year.

The annual contest began more than twenty years ago, and in 2004 Law and Order magazine took the redevelopment of vehicle design to a new level with the introduction of marking guidelines. The guidelines turned a subjective method for marking and identifying police vehicles into a standardized system.

The Republic Police Department became involved in the contest this year for the first time because of positive feedback received from citizens on the look of our vehicles. The vehicles don't just represent the police department, but the community of Republic.

The link below will take you to the voting page. Scroll down until you see our department name and click on the details tab. This should allow you to go in and vote for our patrol car.
