Republic, MO – On Tuesday, August 17, 2010, Republic Police Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of U.S. Highway 60 and Farm Road 101, which resulted in a 31 year old male subject being arrested for first degree robbery.

Sergeant Brian Sells said the Springfield Police Department had informed the department about a probable cause item for the subject. Officers developed information about the suspect's location and were able to conduct the traffic stop and make the arrest without incident.

The subject was taken to the Greene County Jail on the charge of first degree robbery. The name on the subject is being withheld at this time pending the filing of formal charges. The case is still pending investigation by the Springfield Police Department.
