Volunteers in Parks
Welcome to Republic Parks & Recreation’s Volunteers in Parks (VIP) Program! If you are seeking out volunteer opportunities with our department, we strongly encourage you to become a VIP Member. As a member, you can indicate the types of events or programs you would like to assist with and get some great perks along the way. Once you register, a VIP Program car decal will be sent to you along with a welcome letter. Our hope is that you’ll tell your friends and family about the program so they can get involved too!
On the VIP Sign-Up Form, we ask that you indicate which events and/or projects you would like to assist our department with. As the date of the event or program gets closer, additional details will be sent to you. On the day of the event or program, you will receive your official VIP Member t-shirt that you will wear at the event and at any future events or projects you volunteer for. As a VIP Member, your volunteer hours will also be tracked. At the end of the calendar year, these totals will be added up and those who have volunteered eight or more hours within the calendar year will be invited to a VIP Recognition Event held at the beginning of each year.
Community businesses and organizations are also encouraged to sign up as a VIP Community Partner. We would love to find a project for your team to work on together. As a VIP Community Partner, your business or organization will be recognized at any events in which you volunteer and at the annual VIP Recognition Event. Additionally, you will be sent a VIP Community Partner decal to display at your business or organization.
