J.R. Martin Park
J.R. Martin Park (24 acres) is located in the heart of Republic and features a 3/4 mile paved trail, playground equipment, pavilion for general use and private rentals, ample green space, and the scenic beauty of several mature Oak trees planted by J.R. Martin in the 1950’s. Due to its center-city location and available acreage, this park serves as a special event hub including the annual Have-A-Blast Patriotic Celebration, Easter Egg Hunt, movie nights at The Amp, a walk-through holiday light display, and many private events throughout the year. The park is also home to the Republic Veterans Memorial and Tennis Court Complex.
Park Hours
J.R. Martin Park is open to the public from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
Pavilion Rentals
The pavilion located within J.R. Martin Park can be rented for $10 per hour. The structure features nine picnic tables that can seat up to 72 people with two electrical outlets and an adjacent charcoal grill.

Have-A-Blast Patriotic Celebration
J.R. Martin Park is the location of one of the City of Republic's most popular events, the Have-A-Blast Patriotic Celebration. This event is held in late June annually and features live music, food vendors, activities for the kiddos, and a spectacular pyromusical firework display. The Amp @ J.R. Martin Park
The Amp @ J.R. Martin Park opened to the public in July 2014 and features permanent concrete seating for 500 in addition to lawn and mulch viewing areas. The Amp is home to many activities throughout the warm-weather months including movies on our giant 16' x 10' movie screen, yoga, and private rentals. Republic Veterans Memorial
J.R. Martin Park is home to the Republic Veterans Memorial, officially opened and dedicated in July 2014. The memorial features various monuments and statues including a large bronze eagle and battlecross with informational pieces. An American Flag Drop Box and ceremonial Flag Retirement Pit were added by two local Eagle Scouts. Over 430 memorial bricks line the walkways of the memorial, recognizing those who have served or continue to serve our country. Brick sales end on November 30 annually.
