REPUBLIC, MO- The City of Republic has hired Allyssa D. Dudley as its Public Information Officer. She started in the role September 20.
“We are excited to welcome Allyssa to the community in this very important role,” said David Cameron, City Administrator. “She has a diverse background in communications that will allow her to connect with our staff, citizens, and communication professionals.”
As the PIO for the City, Dudley will be focused on the next chapter in Republic’s story, drawing on her background in digital communications to reach citizens, and expand awareness of all the city has to offer.
“With the changes in growth and development our community is experiencing, our communication efforts must grow with the community and I am excited to watch as she helps us achieve that objective,” Cameron said.
A native of the region, Dudley attended Republic and Springfield public schools before graduating from Drury University.
“For me, accepting this position was a homecoming,” Dudley said. “I am so excited to be able to serve this community, and help it grow.”
Dudley began her career as a journalist, working as a reporter for a local newspaper in central Missouri. After accepting a position as a staff writer for Missouri Lawyers Media, a statewide legal publication, she became their digital editor. Most recently, she served as the Director of Communications for GB Entertainment, overseeing exponential digital growth for the multi-platform sports interview show, In Depth with Graham Bensinger.
