Our next movie event at The Amp will be this Saturday, October 10! It's Glow Night and we will have free glow items available and larger glow items available for purchase. Activities will start at 5:30 p.m. and include making your own Troll hair and airbrush tattoos. The movie Trolls World Tour will begin at 6:45 p.m.
Seating is limited to the first 250 people. Tickets are $1.00 each and include a free popcorn. Tickets can be purchased online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Community Programs).

Our 2nd Annual Community Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Republic Community Center parking lot! Don't have the space or ideal location to host your own yard sale? Purchase a booth space in our main parking lot for others to shop! Each booth space is 18'x18' and $15.00 each. Sellers MUST pre-register and can reserve up to two booth spaces. Register online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Community Programs) or in person at the Republic Community Center. This is a "one-stop-shop" for both buyers and sellers!

Are you ready to get your BOOgie on? Grab your costume and join us on Friday, October 23 for BOOgie Bash 2020!
BOOgie Bash begins at 5:30 p.m. at J.R. Martin Park and includes games, bonfires, hayrides, movies on the big screen, and the return of the great pumpkin launch. NEW this year, check out the Fright Ride, a twist on the traditional hayride with an extra loop filled with scares. The costume contest will begin at 6:00 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the night.
Modifications to the 2020 event have been made to allow for social distancing and provide a safe and fun event.

The 24th Annual "Treat Yourself in Republic" Halloween event, organized by Republic Parks & Recreation, is an event in which local businesses, churches, and organizations provide a safe alternative to trick-or-treating for children in Republic and the surrounding communities. The event will be held Halloween night from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. A map of all participating locations will be available by October 21 and can be found at the Republic Community Center or online at republicparks.com.

There’s still time to register for our next session of Okinawan Karate! Classes will begin on October 13 and are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 until 8:00. This session is the last one of the year and will run through December 10. Registration fees are $85 for the initial family member and additional family members are $70. White uniforms are required and can be purchased for $50. Visit recdesk.republicparks.com to register (under Community Programs).

Registration for Youth Futsal will run through Saturday, October 23. This co-ed league is available to those ages 3 to 13. Games will begin November 9. Registration can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com. A photo and birth certificate of each player will be required for age verification purposes and must be submitted during the registration process. Please note that placement is not guaranteed and is dependent on the number of volunteer coaches.

Registration for Winter Boys Basketball will open on Monday, October 26 and will run through Friday, November 20. Leagues are available for those in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Games will begin January 4, 2021. Team and individual registration is available online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Youth Sports). All players will need to register regardless of whether they need to be placed on a team or not. Placement on a team cannot be guaranteed and will be dependent on the number of volunteer coaches.

Homeschool Gym is back! Children in grades 1-12 are invited to join us on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to play a variety of games and meet other kids in the community. Classes are $3 per participant. Online registration is now available at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Community Programs), but drop-ins are still welcome. Participants should bring their own water bottle. Hope to see you soon!

Looking for somewhere to host your child’s next birthday party? We offer many fun options for kids of all ages. From toddler parties to sports parties, laser tag to nerf wars, there’s something for everyone! Our Party Packages are two hours long and available on Saturday afternoons. All equipment is provided along with a party supervisor. Party goods and pizza are available as add-on options. Prices vary depending on which party option is chosen. Do your kiddos have toys, books, clothes, or other items they no longer use? The Youth Garage Sale gives youth the chance to sell their things and earn some extra spending money, while also giving adults a chance to do some Christmas shopping! Registration is now open and can be completed online at recdesk.republicparks.com (under Community Programs) or at the Republic Community Center.
