After evaluating all aspects of the Father Daughter Valentine Dance and the extensive precautionary measures that would need to be implemented in order to provide a safe environment for attendees, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event for 2021. Any measures that would need to be put in place would change the entire scope and quality of one of our most popular and memorable events. We are looking forward to offering a bigger and better dance next year! Save the date for February 4, 2022!

The Living Legacy Tree Program offers individuals an opportunity to honor a loved one by purchasing a tree to be planted within J.R. Martin Park. These trees serve as a long-lasting, living remembrance that will also benefit the community for many years to come. Additionally, trees can be purchased simply as a donation to the park.
Trees are available for a donation of $150. A 6”x6” honorary plaque is also available to purchase for an additional $100. The plaque will be placed next to the tree when planted. Each tree will be included in the City of Republic’s tree maintenance program.
The deadline for the spring planting is January 31. For more information, visit republicmo.gov/LivingLegacy.
