Boys' Basketball & Pee Wee Hoops Registration

Registration for K-6th Grade Boys Basketball and Pee Wee Hoops is now open! Individual and team registration is available through November 16. If your child does not have a team, call 732-3500 to add their name to our individual list.* Pee Wee Hoops is open to youth ages 4 & 5 (5 year-olds not enrolled in Kindergarten).

*Placement from our individual list is not guaranteed; we rely heavily on volunteer coaches for individual placement. If you are interested in coaching, give us a call for more info!

Upcoming Toddler Programs

We are bringing back two of our popular programs for toddlers! New sessions of Doodlebugs and Toddler Tumbling will begin on Thursday, November 8. Both programs are available for toddlers ages 2-5 and cost $20 for each four week session. Registration is required and can be completed at the Republic Community Center.

Senior Citizen Trip to College of the Ozarks

The next Senior Citizen Trip will be to take a campus tour of College of the Ozarks and visit the Williams Memorial Chapel, Greenhouses, Mill, and the Fruitcake and Jelly Kitchen. We'll also have lunch at the Keeter Center and visit the Ralph Foster Museum. The trip is planned for Wednesday, November 14 and the cost is $20 per person (this does not include lunch). This trip is limited to the first 10 people who sign up, so be sure to register early! Registration can be completed at the Republic Community Center through November 9.

Republic Veterans Memorial Bricks on Sale Through November 30

Republic Veterans Memorial bricks are once again on sale and all bricks purchased by November 30, 2018 will be placed within the memorial in the spring of 2019. Citizens may purchase 4” x 8” bricks as an everlasting tribute to a past, present, or future veteran dear to you. The $100.00 donation will purchase a brick that can be engraved with up to three lines of text with twenty characters per line. Every person who orders a brick also receives a mini replica of their brick as a keepsake. Additional funds raised by the sale of bricks will be used to further improve the memorial.

The official Republic Veterans Memorial Brick Order Form is available at the Republic Community Center or online at www.theamprepublic.com.

Save the Date for Breakfast with Santa

Kick off the holiday season with the Republic Parks & Recreation Department and Santa Claus! Breakfast with Santa will be held Saturday, December 1 at the Republic Community Center Activities Building. The morning features great food (pancakes and sausage), holiday crafts, and pictures with Santa.

Event Time: 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Event Fee: $3.00 Per Plate, $1.00 Per Photo w/ Santa (or you may take your own!)

Reindeer Run 5K Scheduled for December 7

The 10th Annual Reindeer Run 5K will be held on Friday, December 7 at J.R. Martin Park in Republic. Registered participants receive an official Reindeer Run 5K t-shirt (must register by November 23 for guaranteed shirt).

Event Time: 7:00 p.m.
Event Fee (Pre-Registration Through 12/6): $25.00 or $17.00 w/ the donation of an unwrapped children's gift
Event Fee (Race Day 12/7): $30.00 or $22.00 w/ the donation of an unwrapped children's gift

All gifts are donated to People Helping People in Republic to assist them in their efforts to provide for families in Republic during the holiday season.

School's Out Program Registration Now Open

School's Out Program is offered during Winter Break (following the Republic School District calendar) on December 27, 28, 31 and January 2 from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day. Activities and field trips are planned to ensure a fun-filled day for the children. A sack lunch and a snack are required each day. Payment is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. A minimum of 10 children must be registered 48 hours prior to each date in order to run the program.
