Owen Park Trail Project

In September 2017, the Republic Parks & Recreation Department was awarded a Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for the Owen Park Trail Project in the amount of $73,784.00.  The main component of this project is the construction of an approximate .67 mile, asphalt surface trail with a connector path to the existing playground.  The trail portion was completed in June 2018!  The project scope also includes the addition of several new amenities including park benches, trashcans, pet waste station, trailhead signage, landscaping, and trees.  The total project expense is estimated to be $144,438.00.
